Tom Griffis

Tom Griffis is the founder of Griffis Capital, a private investment and corporate management firm based in Toronto, Canada and Takoradi, Ghana. Griffis Capital has focused the majority of its activities on natural resource, technology and healthcare companies requiring early to mid stage financing. The focus of past activities has been in resource based assets located in Ghana, Argentina, Kazakhstan, USA and Canada and technology and healthcare companies with a primarily North America focus. Mr. Griffis has founded and served on the Board of Directors of several private and publicly traded companies in the resource, technology and healthcare sectors. Previously, Mr. Griffis was a pilot in the Canadian Armed Forces. During his 20 years of service he held several positions of command including as pilot and commander of the Canadian national aerobatic team the Snowbirds.

Elia Crespo

Elia Crespo is a Director and Principal of Griffis Capital.  Ms. Crespo brings extensive experience in M&A due diligence and managing the closing of transactions, as well as day to day corporate administrative management.   Ms. Crespo has broad experience managing private and public companies, including taking companies to the public markets through IPO or RTO.  She has served as a director of several private companies and public companies listed on the Toronto Stock Exchange and the AIM Market of the London Stock Exchange as well as charitable organizations.                                       

Dr. Robert J. Griffis

Dr. Robert J. Griffis is a geologist with extensive experience in gold mining projects from‎ the early exploration stages through production. Much of this experience has come from his 30 years in the gold producing districts of West Africa where he is an acknowledged expert. He is senior author of the highly regarded Ghana Government report 'Gold Deposits of Ghana' and has carried out exploration work all over the country; this work has led to the discovery and development of numerous gold mines. Prior to focusing on West Africa, Dr. Griffis worked for over 10 years years with the Canadian international geological and mining consulting firm Watts, Griffis and McOuat (WGM) with whom he carried out many assignments on a great variety of mineral deposits (precious metals, base metals and industrial minerals) in North America, South America, Africa, Australia and Iran.

Michael Campbell

Mike is a solution-oriented executive and legal advisor. His specialties include corporate finance, M&A, operations, corporate development and business strategy.  Since 2007 at Griffis Capital, Mike has been involved in the management of early stage companies. Prior to joining Griffis Capital, Mike was a partner at McMillan LLP, a leading Canadian law firm, where he specialized in corporate finance, M&A, on- and off-shore investment funds, natural resources, technology and telecom. Mike’s practice had a particular emphasis on public and private corporate finance and M&A transactions. He also assisted public and private companies, investment funds and registrants with securities compliance and general corporate and commercial matters.
